Buying takes two seconds. Regretting it takes longer.

An impulse purchase is over quickly: one tap, one confirmation, done. The question of whether the thing is worth the price usually turns up afterwards — if it turns up at all.

Quitt gets in between. No savings plan, no budget book, no lecture. Just a short check before you pay, and a receipt that says out loud what you already suspected.

Product, price, six questions, one verdict

You enter what you want to buy, what it costs, how often you will use it and how long it is likely to last. Quitt works out the cost per use and per year straight away.

Then come six questions. One of them is “Do you really need it?” — and that one gets a more honest answer once it is written down. Finally an optional check-in: hungry, irritated, lonely, tired, in a good mood. Your state never changes the score, only how cautiously Quitt frames the recommendation.

Then the app prints the receipt: a Quitt score from 0 to 100, a bar, a one-sentence verdict, the calculation behind it, and the opportunity cost — what the money would have become had you left it alone.

Park it instead of buying it

When the receipt says “don't buy this”, the decision moves to the waiting room and rests there for 30 days. If you were tired or irritated at check-in, it becomes 45.

After that Quitt asks: bought it anyway, or didn't need it after all? Most things do not survive the waiting room — and the archive adds up what went unspent.

Everything stays on the device

Quitt has no account, no server and no sign-in. Checks, receipts and the archive live inside the app on your phone.

There is no analytics, no tracking and no advertising — not as a setting you can switch off, but because none of it is built in. This website loads nothing from third parties either.
